Dignity - What it means to be B Corp certified

Dignity is proud to be one of 30 companies in New Zealand and 3,235 globally to be awarded B Corp certification.  B Corps are for-profit organisations that use their power to bring about positive change in the world.

It is a rigorous process that requires us to consider the impact of our decisions on our workers, customers, suppliers, community and the environment.  

It’s not about ticking boxes, it’s not a status - it’s a journey - often challenging and definitely robust! It is a really deep analysis to understand if your business is living and being the values you want to see in the world. 

To us, the B Corp certification and process is the highest public standard to which a company can review and claim its balance of profit and purpose. That is something we want to demonstrate to our stakeholders and be part of a global community that truly operates to achieve better social and environmental outcomes.

We have always felt that Dignity is a company that lives its values and now more than ever we want to put that to the test with a well-known certification that would help our corporate partners understand how serious we are about our mission.⁠
