Staff Interview - Introducing Bridget Berry

We are pleased to introduce our newest team member Bridget Berry. Bridget joins us as our communications intern working alongside Suni and Anika to share the Dignity story with you and extend our impact and voice.

What is your role at Dignity?

My role at Dignity is to put my three years of study into action by supporting and learning from the Dignity team.

What is the favourite part of your job?

My favourite part of working in communications is being able to connect with a diverse range of communities and making a positive impact on people’s lives.

What does Dignity mean to you?

To me, Dignity means having the ability to have the freedom to choose without limitation.

Why do you think businesses should have Dignity at their workplace? How can we make periods more normal?

Businesses should have Dignity at their workplace as it also allows employees to have freedom and confidence in the workplace. By actively providing products in workplaces it can help reduce stigma around periods and enable these conversations to be had amongst coworkers.

What do you do outside of Dignity?

Outside of Dignity, I am a full-time student in my final semester of a Bachelor of Communication, Majoring in Digital Marketing and also supporting the Arataki Honey Visitor Centre with running their facebook page.

Who do you admire?

My parents and my friends.

What is a quote you live by?

Spread love and positivity.

What would be your advice to yourself 5 years ago?

If I could talk to my 15-year-old self the advice I would give her is to have confidence in herself, take every opportunity that is given to her, and embrace change.
