Products - for the workplace

Creating inclusive workplaces through period equity

Period products are essential, not a luxury.

Did you know that up to 70% of women and people with periods have been caught short by their period at work? People with periods, don’t choose to have them, and period products are a necessity, not a luxury, they are like toilet paper and soap. If you get caught out at work, without products, it impacts productivity and wellbeing. Employers have a responsibility to create fair, inclusive and equitable workplaces.

Enhances employee wellbeing

When people get periods unexpectedly it impacts their well-being, 57% of people feel embarrassed, when caught out, as it forces them to have awkward conversations, engineer unhygienic makeshift solutions, make emergency trips to the shops, or go home.

Dignity’s Impact Partner Xero found 82% of people with periods in their workplaces, felt an increase in personal support by their employers through having Dignity’s period products at work.

Support Equity & Inclusivity

87% of people who menstruate have experienced stress or anxiety in the workplace because of their period. Access to free period products can make employees feel more supported and valued and shows how you, as an employer, take an active interest in women’s health, and that your organisation recognises that access to period products is a basic human right.
